These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of www.coastalphotostudio.com and your interactions with Coastal Photo Studio, including photography services, bookings, private client galleries, digital photograph purchases, print and product orders, email communications, and SMS/text-message communications.
By using our website, booking services, making a purchase, subscribing to communications, or otherwise interacting with Coastal Photo Studio, you agree to these Terms.

Coastal Photo Studio provides photography sessions and related services, including portrait photography, professional headshots and branding photography, digital photographs, private client galleries, photographic prints and products, studio-based photography, and other photography-related services and experiences.
2. Photography Services and Bookings
Specific session details, pricing, deposits, sitting fees, cancellation or rescheduling policies, deliverables, turnaround times, and other conditions may vary depending on the service booked.
Any service-specific booking agreement, contract, invoice, booking page, or written agreement provided for a particular session is incorporated into these Terms and will control if its terms differ from the general information contained on this page.
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a reservation.
A photography session is considered reserved only when the applicable booking requirements have been completed, including any required payment, deposit, sitting fee, contract, or other confirmation requested by Coastal Photo Studio.
3. Payments
Prices displayed on our website or booking platforms are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment requirements may vary depending on the photography service, product, or booking.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe or through e-commerce services associated with our website.
By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
Applicable taxes, shipping charges, location fees, travel charges, upgrades, additional photographs, products, or other fees may be added when appropriate and disclosed before purchase.
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments
Cancellation, rescheduling, refund, and transfer policies may vary depending on the service booked.
Certain booking fees, sitting fees, retainers, deposits, or other payments may be non-refundable as stated during the booking process or in the applicable service agreement.
Clients are responsible for reviewing the terms associated with their particular booking.
Missed appointments, late cancellations, or significant delays may result in the loss of a booking fee or require a new fee before another appointment can be scheduled.
Coastal Photo Studio may reschedule a session when necessary because of illness, unsafe conditions, severe weather, equipment failure, emergencies, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
5. Photography Sessions
Clients are responsible for arriving at the agreed location and time prepared for their session.
Session length may be affected by late arrival. Unless otherwise agreed, additional time is not guaranteed when a client arrives late.
Coastal Photo Studio cannot guarantee a specific pose, expression, photograph, background result, number of usable photographs, cooperation from children or animals, weather condition, sunset, or other circumstance outside the photographer’s reasonable control.
Photography involves artistic judgment. By hiring Coastal Photo Studio, clients acknowledge that the photographer retains creative discretion regarding posing, lighting, composition, image selection, editing, and the final photographic style.
6. Image Selection and Editing
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, clients receive finished photographs selected and edited by Coastal Photo Studio.
Unedited files and RAW files are not included and are not provided unless specifically agreed to in writing.
Coastal Photo Studio determines which photographs meet its professional and artistic standards for presentation or delivery.
Editing may include normal photographic adjustments such as exposure, color, cropping, contrast, and other artistic corrections.
Extensive retouching, manipulation, restoration, or alteration may require an additional fee when available.
7. Copyright and Use of Photographs
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Coastal Photo Studio retains copyright ownership of photographs created by the studio or photographer as provided by applicable copyright law.
When a client purchases or receives digital photographs, the client generally receives permission to use those photographs for personal purposes, including personal printing and sharing, unless a different license is provided.
Commercial, advertising, resale, publication, or business use may require additional permission or may be governed by the specific photography package purchased.
Business headshots, branding photography, commercial assignments, and other professional services may include different usage rights as stated in the applicable agreement.
Clients may not claim authorship of Coastal Photo Studio photographs or sell, license, or commercially distribute them unless specifically authorized.
8. Private Client Galleries
Coastal Photo Studio may provide photographs through a private online client gallery.
Gallery access may be provided through a private link, password, access code, or similar method.
Clients are responsible for protecting their gallery access information. Anyone with access to a shared gallery link, password, or code may be able to view the photographs contained in that gallery.
Private galleries are not intended to function as publicly searchable photo albums.
Gallery availability may be limited to a stated hosting period. Clients are responsible for completing purchases, selections, downloads, or other required actions before the stated expiration date.
Gallery expiration does not guarantee that photographs will remain available indefinitely.
If an expired or removed gallery must be recovered from archival storage, recovery may not always be possible and additional archive retrieval or re-hosting fees may apply.
9. Digital Photograph Purchases
Digital photographs may be purchased individually, as collections, as part of a package, or as a complete gallery depending on the pricing associated with the particular session.
Digital products generally cannot be returned once delivered or made available for download except when required by law or when Coastal Photo Studio determines that a technical error occurred.
Clients are strongly encouraged to download and safely back up purchased digital photographs.
Coastal Photo Studio does not guarantee indefinite online storage of delivered digital photographs.
10. Prints and Physical Products
Photographic prints and physical products may be produced by Coastal Photo Studio or third-party professional printing and fulfillment providers.
Because photographic prints and personalized products are custom-made, they may not be eligible for return solely because of personal preference.
If an order arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was ordered, contact Coastal Photo Studio promptly so the issue can be reviewed.
Colors, brightness, cropping, and appearance may vary between screens and physical printed products.
11. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
Coastal Photo Studio may offer optional SMS/text-message communications.
By voluntarily providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting in to receive SMS messages from Coastal Photo Studio, you consent to receive text messages from us at the number provided.
Messages may include:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Session-related information
- Client gallery notifications
- Order or service updates
- Studio announcements
- Seasonal photography opportunities
- Promotions and special offers
- Other photography-related marketing communications you have chosen to receive
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Coastal Photo Studio.

Mobile Carrier Responsibility
Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery of SMS messages may be affected by carrier availability, network conditions, device compatibility, or circumstances outside Coastal Photo Studio’s control.

Mobile telephone numbers and SMS opt-in consent information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

12. Email Communications
Clients may receive transactional emails associated with bookings, purchases, galleries, inquiries, or other services.
If you separately subscribe to marketing emails, Coastal Photo Studio may also send information about photography services, promotions, seasonal offerings, events, or studio news.
Marketing email subscriptions can be canceled through the unsubscribe link included in applicable marketing emails.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent Coastal Photo Studio from sending messages reasonably necessary to complete an existing booking, order, transaction, or client service.
13. Promotions, Discounts, and Special Offers
Coastal Photo Studio may occasionally offer promotions, discounts, model calls, special sessions, coupon codes, giveaways, or other limited offers.
These offers may have separate eligibility requirements, expiration dates, availability limitations, image-use requirements, or other conditions.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined and have no cash value.
Coastal Photo Studio reserves the right to correct pricing errors or discontinue promotional offers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coastal Photo Studio will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from use of the website or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
