How much does a studio portrait session cost?

Studio Portrait Sessions have a $49.99 sitting fee for up to six people. The sitting fee covers your reserved studio time and photography experience.

Digital photographs and printed products are purchased separately after you view your private gallery, so you can choose what you actually love instead of paying for a predetermined image package before your session.

Does the $49.99 sitting fee include digital images?

No. Your sitting fee reserves your appointment and covers your photography session.

After your session, you’ll receive a private proof gallery where you can view your photographs and choose which digital images and printed products you’d like to purchase.

There is no requirement to purchase every photograph in your gallery.

How long is my session?

Studio Portrait Sessions are up to 30 minutes.

Thirty minutes gives us enough time to create a variety of photographs without turning your session into an all-day production — especially helpful for children, pets, and anyone who isn’t particularly excited about being in front of a camera.

What should I expect during my session?

You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands — that’s my job.

I’ll guide you through posing, positioning, expressions, and movement throughout your session. We’ll create a combination of polished portraits and more natural interactions depending on who you’re photographing with and the look you’re going for.

The goal is to keep the session relaxed, efficient, and comfortable while creating a variety of photographs for you to choose from afterward.

What should I wear?

Choose clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

For families and groups, coordinating usually photographs better than everyone wearing identical outfits. Think about choosing a general color palette and mixing complementary colors, textures, and layers.

Try to avoid extremely busy patterns, large logos, or anything you already know you’ll be adjusting or worrying about throughout your session.

How many people can I bring?

The standard sitting fee includes up to six participants.

This total includes adults, children, and pets who will be photographed during the session.

Groups larger than six require additional space, posing time, and planning and may need an extended session. Please contact Coastal Photo Studio before booking if your group includes more than six participants.

Can I bring children?

Absolutely.

Studio Portrait Sessions are designed for individuals, couples, families, children, and small groups.

Don’t worry about expecting young children to stand perfectly still and smile on command for 30 minutes. We’ll work with their personalities, take breaks when needed, and keep things moving.

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Pets are welcome.

Because pets require space, posing, and setup time just like everyone else, pets count toward the six-person session limit.

Please let the studio know ahead of time if you’re bringing a pet so we can prepare appropriately.

Can I use more than one backdrop?

Most 30-minute sessions are designed around one primary backdrop so we can maximize your photography time. A second backdrop may be possible depending on group size, setup, and session timing.

Backdrop options depend on your session, group size, and the setups available in the studio at the time of your appointment.

When will I see my photographs?

After your session, your photographs will be prepared and uploaded to a private online proof gallery.

Your edited proof gallery is typically delivered within approximately 10 days of your session. Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive an email with your private gallery link and instructions for viewing, purchasing, and downloading your photographs.

Your gallery will contain the edited photographs available for you to review and purchase.

How do I purchase my digital photographs?

Your private gallery allows you to choose the photographs you want directly from your phone or computer.

Simply select your favorites, choose the digital collection you’d like to purchase, and complete checkout through the gallery.

Once your purchase is complete, your purchased digital photographs will be available for download.

Do I have to decide how many photographs I want before my session?

No.

One of the advantages of this format is that you get to see your photographs first.

After viewing your gallery, you can decide whether you want a single favorite, a small collection, a larger collection, or your full gallery.

Can I order prints?

Yes.

Professional prints can be ordered directly from your private gallery using the photographs from your session.

You’ll be able to choose your image, print size, quantity, and available crop options before placing your order.

How long is my gallery available?

Your private Coastal Photo Studio gallery is available for 30 days.

During that time, you can review your photographs, purchase digital images, order prints, and download any digital photographs you’ve purchased.

An optional extended two-year gallery hosting service is available for clients who would like longer-term access to their photographs.

More information about extended hosting will be available with your gallery.

What happens after my 30-day gallery expires?

Once your standard 30-day gallery period ends, the gallery will no longer remain active on the Coastal Photo Studio website.

If you would like longer-term access, you can purchase the optional extended hosting service before your gallery expires.

We recommend making your selections and downloading purchased digital photographs during your original gallery window rather than waiting until the last few days.

Can I take screenshots from my proof gallery?

Proof photographs are provided for viewing and selection only.

Unpurchased photographs should not be downloaded, copied, screen-recorded, or screenshotted for personal use or sharing. Purchased digital photographs will be delivered without the proof watermark and in their intended downloadable format.

Where is Coastal Photo Studio?

Coastal Photo Studio is located in downtown North Bend, Oregon.

Is the studio accessible?

Yes. Coastal Photo Studio is ADA-accessible.

If you or someone in your group has specific accessibility needs that would help us prepare for your session, you’re welcome to let us know before your appointment.

What should I bring?

For most sessions, you don’t need much.

Bring anything that is important to the portraits you want to create — such as a meaningful accessory, small personal item, children’s comfort item, or pet necessities.

What if I want something more elaborate than a standard portrait session?

The $49.99 Studio Portrait Session is designed for straightforward individual, couple, family, child, pet, and small-group portraiture.

If you’re planning something that requires a larger group, extensive props, multiple complex setups, substantial set changes, specialized creative direction, or additional photography time, contact Coastal Photo Studio before booking.

We can determine whether your idea fits within a standard Studio Portrait Session or would be better suited to a custom or extended session.
